Description
This is another mod I've been using and updating forever. I never liked the square G2 style spellgem bars so I updated this ones code with a 9th gem, and added a little curly at the bottom so it looks pretty good whether or not you've purchased the 9th spell gem AA. Also faded out most of the book button at the bottom of the bar so it's just a faint outline.

Original code by Remelio and art by T.King.

Version 1.01 - Updated Readme.txt with clearer instructions.
Version 1.02 beta - Updated for SoF with 10th Spell Gem.
n.b. I dont have the expansion, so the art around the 10th gem is mostly guesswork. Once I get it I'll tweak the art to make it a little better, but basic functionality should work.
Version 1.02 beta2 - Fixed squishy art due to tired coder 8)
Version 1.02 final - Made art a lil nicer. I'm clearly not an artist, and certainly not up to T.King's standards, but it still seems to be pretty decent no matter if you have 8, 9, or 10 spell gems.
Version 1.03 - Fixed for patch.
Version 1.04 - Looks like they are adding 2 more spell gems. Fixed for patch but obviously untested until the next expansion arrives.
Version 1.05 - Updated for UnF. 2 more spelll gems, and a little extra art. Hope you like it!
Version 1.05b - Updated installation instructions for clarity, should fix people's issues with the final 4 gems not being rounded.
Version 1.05c - Fixed a couple silly mistakes, but dont know why the gem holders for the final 4 gems are not showing up now with HoT. Ideas would be appreciated!
Version 1.06 - Added 13th (and 14th) spots for spells. Artwork doesn't dangle that far, and it's untested because I don't have RoS (feel free to donate!). Also relocated the spellbook button to the top because it was getting kinda long and looked weird.
Version 1.06a - Whoops... fixed a small art bug.
Version 1.07 - Fixed for stupid layer/transparency changed on DBG's part... 14 years we went without fiddling with it, guys! Stop it!

This still works perfectly so long as you follow the included instructions in the readme!

Thanks for the offer, but no need, didnt realize I could get the UNF aa's before launch, so here's the update!

Dont forget to follow the readme.txt for changing your EQUI_Animations.xml file.

Hope you guys like, tried a lot on the extra art, but I'm no artist!

Yeah, I been using this spell bar for quite some time, and have grown to love it. Thank you very much for keeping it up to date. It is much appreciated

Hehe well thanks for that, though I've just been a maintainer (albeit for something like 5-7 years now?) Anywho, been saving aa's on one of my toons so that I can fix it as soon as the expansion comes out (work permitting!)

My tiny target window is soooo gonna be broke tho! ;;

PS. Ooh just had an idea, maybe something growing up from the bottom too, that could be fun, will work on it, tho it's impossible to see atm heh...

I have no idea how to do this kinda stuff. But in all honesty, it was never the way it looked that got me to using it. It was that I liked the round spell gems and how small and compact it was. Even if it doesn't look good I'd still use it. It's the functionality of it that I love

Thanks! Have had a few requests for that. Maybe once I fix up all my other UI elements I'll give it a shot. God this patch sucks!

I dont know either. Originally there was a 256x256 boundary limit for texture definitions. With the DX9 upgrade back a couple years ago, that may have changed, but I've seen no documentation from the eq devs. There's always been a 1024^2 size for the main textures but I dont know if it was bumped up to that for addins like this one. Perhaps I'm not understanding what you're saying and you could post a SS of what you've done?

If you try changing the bitmap into a 1024x1024 with transparancy image, with a full vertical spellbar then send it to me, and I can play around with it.

Keep in mind, my personal preference is that if the toon does *not* have the extra spell gem aa's, that the client doesnt draw the greyed out gems. I can do that now, I just never liked it. It looks a lil cheesy imho, and prefer just the temptation of the vines creeping down. But I'm willing to help if you'd like to make a mod of a mod of a mod 8)
