Not to sound harsh but done use IE!!! In all seriousness, on pastebin click the "raw" and then hit CTRL + A (select all) and then CTRL + C (copy). Then open up the file and hit CTRL + A (select all) press Delete, make sure its empty, then hit CTRL + V (paste).

Also i fixed the short duration buffs, make sure to reload the page and view my edited post. No longer seeing any errors in game.

EDIT: I misread your question, on the xml file itself, right click and choose "Open With" and then choose "Notepad".

Yeah, I don't use IE for anything. The problem I'm having is that I can't open the xml file at all. Can't delete anything in it, can't paste anything in it. No access to the xml. Any chance you could email me the animation file? I don't need the short duration buffs - I have that taken care of already. Thanks!

I have replaced the text in the Animations file. I am just not sure what I need to do with the Drag Item file. I see where you said you edited it, I am not sure how you did that.

Either I'm missing something or the horizontal extended target bar has not been updated updated since we have had 10 targets available to assign.. as it keeps coming up with only 7 slots.. Can this be fixed please?

Hello all, returning after a year off or so, and I have a couple questions...

Looking at the top pic on this page, the one with the overall screen using CotFv14, there are two small rectangular dark windows just above the target? I only have one that came up when I loaded the UI, and I don't know what it's for, or how to get the other one to show.

Also, I have another window showing, which shows 4 icons in it, labeled "Alert", "Alert", "SCS", and "HH". What's this window for?

Finally, there was some wierdess with the pet window. It absolutely wouldn't let me turn off the lock. Had to log out, manually edit the UI file to turn off lock, and then log back in. Don't know if that's due to the AYA UI, or if it's something else.

Anyway, thanks for the updates to the UI, and hope you can answer my questions

Update: OK, figured out the one window is auras, so that's known. Still don't know what the other window that isn't up does yet.

Found that the pet window (which I couldn't unlock before) could not be locked. Had to lock it manually by editing the UI file.

One more question... in the pet window, in the array of numbers for the character, what is the bottom right number? In the aforementioned screen cap above, that number is 718296.

Update2: The number (718296) is current tribute total, I figured that out
So just wondering what the last window is, so I can figure out the key combo to open it

The first one is the aura window which you can open by using Shift+A or the EQ button using characters/auras

The second one is the aggro meter which you can open by using the EQ button using actions/aggro meter

There is an SoE issue that makes pet window remain bugged in the locked position. This is not an AYA error. Here is the fix: in the main EverQuest folder
look for the UI file that has your name and server in my case it's UI_Danille_bristle. open that file and using the "find" function in the edit drop down window
type the word "pet". A few lines down you will see "locked=true" change that to "locked=false"
I tried it just now and it works no problem. BTW..After you right click, and click the * next to "lock" off, grab the window from the far left edge. It will move this way with no problem.

Anyway, thanks for the updates to the UI, and hope you can answer my questions

Aggro Meter! EQ button, actions, aggro meter. You can set up any hotkey you want using the options UI hot key setup functionality. EQ doesnt have a default hotkey combo.

However, when I look at it on Imgur, it's all washed out, no idea why, on my PC the pic looks fine. The window in question is at the top, just left of the chat window. You can see two icons, with "SCS" and "HH". There are two others labeled "Alert".

Oh thats a new window that SoE made that has missions and quests you can do. It like a popup. Non-Aya-ui its default window.

Are any of you coders in beta? I'm not saying I'm in beta, and I'm not saying I'm not. But there were UI updates involved, and I'd like to know if someone is already updating the UI for them. I do not feel I am breaking the NDA in asking, because the issue is the buff window and the extended target window, and Elidroth himself released the information on those a few weeks before the IRC chats.
