DurtyDelt 1680 x 1050

Description
Discussion thread located HERE. Please direct all comments there, not here.

New version released 7-9-08:

This UI is a variant of the DurtyDelt UI originally created by Jordaan, formerly of Triune. It has been updated several times since its inception, and I have changed some of his original designs to fit my own preferences over the years. I mainly offer this up as partial repayment for the years of use this UI has given me, and I hope that others will continue to enjoy it.

Please install the entire contents of the zip file into a new directory.

Major new features:

DurtyDelt is now optimized specifically for 1680 x 1050 resolution, although it will still work well at 1280 x 1024. I have included pieces specifically for use at that size in fact, and they can be found in a subfolder.

All graphic elements are now completely redone, eliminating most of the pixelation, color bleed, etc. from countless updates over the years. Everything should be much cleaner and sharper now. Sorry, but the blue version is a thing of the past because I don't use it. Someone with some skill in Photoshop might be able to mess with the hue and make them work, but I will not be officially supporting them myself. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Reworked the pet window to fit seamlessly with the rest of the UI, and fixed the pet buff icons to show all pet buffs instead of the overlapping mishmash it was before.

Added a new combat abilities window for hybrids that fits above the pet window, allowing quicker mouse access and a cleaner overall look. This is one of the 1680-specific pieces, so the old combat abilities window is still available in a subfolder. Melee combat abilities window is unchanged, and also available in a subfolder.

Changed the potion window to be horizontal and integrated with the rest of the UI. The old vertical version is still available in a subfolder.

Changed the "con" indicator to the 8-way arrow "Chaos" symbol because I was tired of a simple circle, and I found a larger one much easier to notice at a glance (and tell the difference between white con and grey con). However, the old circle is available in a subfolder as well if you don't like the new one.

Reworked the group window, specifically the clicky window attached to it. Again, this is a 1680-specific piece, so if you play in a lower resolution OR just don't like those clickies being there, copy the 1280 piece over instead.

Please note that the clickies are designed in a specific layout to facilitate grouping several clickies/weapons together in bags that all work in one inventory slot. I have taken a screenshot with my first 3 (vertical) bags open to show exactly how those slots all line up. If you like your clickies a specific way, PLEASE make note of them before copying this version over it, because they WILL be changed once you do. And any further updates are likely to do the same, so ALWAYS keep a backup of where your clickies are if you know how to change them yourself. If not, you'll just have to move them around to fit mine, sorry. I can't possibly keep everyone happy on this front because everyone will have a different preference.

The new buff timers Sony added this patch work well enough with this buff layout, so I didn't change anything. There's nothing I can do about the timer for bard buffs hanging out to the right, as they are hard coded (as many people will be complaining about in the coming weeks I'm sure).

I'm probably forgetting something else that changed, but that's all I can think of for now. I hope everyone enjoys the changes as much as I do.

7-10-08: Added UI file you can copy to your main EQ directory and use the Copy Layout option to make it look like mine in 1680 x 1050.

Updated 9-5-08: Voice chat features included.

Please note that the 1680 version has the volume icons to the right of the player health bars, while the 1280 version has the icons inside the actual health bar. This is purely due to space considerations. The player's own volume is located to the right of the compass window on both.

I may seek a better solution after the new expansion is released, but until then I'm not making any major changes because I don't know how the ability to see other player's mana/endurance will affect that window.

Added files for both 1680 and 1280 for use in Copy Layout.

Updated 10-12-08: See discussion thread for details.

Updated again 10-21-08: Minor cosmetic fixes, see discussion thread.

Updated 12-10-08.

Updated 12-13-08.

Updated 2-14-09.

Updated 3-13-09. Hotbutton window updated, save your right click info if you don't want to lose it.

I will be trying to take over in repairing this UI if anyone still uses it but I have fixed it and will upload it

I have made some minor chances like for us pure caster I added a poison belt that will fit with rest of the UI if you are using a 1680x1040 setting

I'm sorry for the late notice on this, but I've decided to let my EQ accounts expire. I haven't logged in for over 2 months and don't see myself returning in the near future. My apologies for when the UI inevitably gets broken by Sony, but the day had to come sometime. Thanks to all those that enjoyed using it along with me. Maybe someone else will pick up the reigns from here.

Take care.

Re: Re: Re: buff windows

Hi, awesome ui as always, I used to use it a long time again when Jordaan ran it. I just installed it got it set up, but like a previous poster said, I can not for the life of me move the buff window. I got it to unlock, but it will not move. I've clicked over every inch of it, but nothing.

Re: Re: buff windows

New files uploaded. Please note that I finally fixed the hot button backgrounds as someone requested quite some time ago, so if you are using a custom right click setup on the hotbutton window, it WILL be lost after installing this update. Save them as I described elsewhere and paste them back in if you don't want to lose them. You have been warned.

First you have to unlock the window (if you're using my layout, because I lock all the windows to prevent accidental dragging), then you can move them. Generally down near the bottom is a good spot to try to get it, between the number and the spell gem. All that invisible space counts as part of the window, so right click around there until you get it.

HoTT and Casting Window

This is one of my favorite UI's btw. However, I am unable to see the casting window as well as the HoTT bar while playing with a full melee toon. Is there an option or xml file I'm missing?

Thanks.

Assuming that you are using the 1680 x 1050 version, all I do when I don't have a need for the CA window is extend my chat window further up to fill it in. Other than that, no there isn't any blank piece, because I'd have to assign it something to replace.

I rarely see comments posted here.

1. Not sure what you mean by the hourglass, unless you mean the OOC timer. I actually noticed that for the first time as well. However, I normally play with the /viewport setting so there is nothing but black behind it. They messed up viewports recently so that widescreen monitors look squished, so I've temporarily turned it off and that probably made it into my UI layout file here. Once that is fixed I'll be using the viewport and won't notice it. I may fix it however if I have time.

2. There is an option for a target window without buffs. I mention it in the thread linked in the description.

NM, figured it out. I'll leave it up in case others have same issue. Downloaded a .dds photoshop plugin (from Nvidia developers site) and saved .tga icons and .dds.

---------------

Great ui! Thanks for the all work updating it and putting it out there for us to use.

Is there a way to get the old spell gems to work? I notice the new ones are all .dds instead of .tga. Love everything about the ui, just never got used to the new spell gems. Thanks!

There is a melee version with 8 discs. Just copy the appropriate file out of the alternate folder.
