Sure.
First, Ill answer, When you bring up the story menu, No, its not one single file. There are literally like 13 entrys for each individual info tool added. The titles, for the most part, are pretty self explanitory for whats inside. IE: Skills, Foofys spell database, Anquish armor, ect. In order to help make finding the files in question, I do recommend, that before you install this tool, Go in and delete everything in your story line folder. What will occur, is once the tool is installed and you patch, It will find that the SOE story files are missing, and reinstall them. The purpose of doing that, is when you open storyline menu in EQ, it will put the SoE storys at the top of the list, and the Database tools from this zip file at the bottom, sorted based on creation date. (The SoE storyline files will then look as if they were all created on the date that you patched them back in from the patcher, clumping SOEs crap together.
There is however, One story line file that you see in game, That acts somewhat as a nexus/homepage for all of these tools, Plus most the original content Ive added, such as the codex of war. It has all of the apropriate links inside, and it is entitled, Academy of the Lords of Light and Shadow.
The screenshot is not accurate, But Im thinking of adding some screenshots now to show some of what it looks like.

1: Download zipped file.
2: Unzip file. Unzipping file will result in 1 folder named LLSTool v2.
3: Open LLStool v2 folder, (when you do, you will see 11 folders, and 17 text files.
4: Select all folders and files here, and move them to your EQ storyline folder. (in most cases the pathway should be
C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\storyline
5: Once installed, your EQ Story folder should now posess 11 folders, and 67 text files, after youve repatched SoEs storylines back in. (as of 6.6.7) Now, Close, and repatch EQ.
Again, I will attempt to add screenshots for verification. It honestly sounds like youve got it installed right. The Install notes in the file, are from Version one, and in retrospect, I prolly should have updated them, when I updated the file, But hindsight is 20/20.
The preview file thing... I dunno what thats all about, I pretty sure its something from EQinterface, Like when an old file has been trunc'd for server limitations or some such, Dont really know. Luckily, that pic is not accurate anyway
Hope this helps answer your questions, Hope you enjoy it, and I do wholey suggest that if ya get the time, Read the codex. It makes the game a whole lot more understandable in lore respect. It may only be relevant to the Verant Influenced days (Core - Luclin Era's) But Ive found, having that basis of knowledge helps one forsee the direction the game is going into, even for current expansions. IE: How Mayong Mistmoore is going to likely be the one behind the return of Kerafyrm in the upcoming Secrets of faydwyer expansion, Given his recent moves to become a full fledge god, And given his long standing hatered of the dragon kin, and will attempt to use Kerafyrm to battle Veshaan.
