Old UI's
 

Noticed more and more recently some of the older, formerly most popular UI's are no longer being supported / updated. Anyone know who, if anyone takes over on these modifications?

Personally, I've been using some form of Quartz for the last 7 years. Lately, I've noticed little to no work being done to fix these and have been somewhat frustrated. I'm not very good with XML sadly, and only a few modifications have I gotten to work. However, with this latest patch .. my UI has been completely killed it seems and there appears to be no hope in restoring it. It was partial modded, had WC3 Spell icons, a bank mod, and mp3 player.. but will not load no matter what code I try.


Be there any hope for older UI's, or are we completely screwed?

What a co-incidence smiley, a guy down the road from me was bbqing something this morning at 5am.

They are taken over by someone who uses the UI and gets tired of there not being any updates. Could that be you for Quartz?

Also if the UI is not displaying, try renaming all of your files something like EQUI_PlayerWindow_bak.xml and only work on one at a time.


If you are trying you could always post your attempts and your uierror file to the request for help forum.

You know too much. They are watching you.

lol.. well, it won't do me any good to edit things atm.. the latest patch seems to have ghosted my EQ. Patcher runs, then EQ goes poof.

Suffice to say, I'm not very good at xml and at that... well, I travel .. a lot.. part of the job, ya know? Finding the time, and the connections to properly sit down and attempt to recode the ui is rather difficult.


Btw Shill, if Nizi or Urd were here .. they'd tell you the BBQ smell, wasn't coming from down the street :)

Shame, those two buggers got me into the game.. and I'm the only one left... (though I'm on only remotely)
