Old School Spell Icons
 

How do you get back the old school spell icons?
I cant read the new default ones at all.
Please help.

Drakkah default old interface uses the old icons and spellbok. you just replace a few buff icon windows with the small icon (zipped file) files he provides.

I too love the other spell icons, and tried replacing the Drakkah default icons into my new updated lodidodi, but it didnt work. Maybe I needed to only use 2 of the 3 files, im not sure, but any help into how to successfully merge the two would be greatly appreciated!

The files gemicons01 through 03.tga, spell_icon.tga and spells 01 through 07.tga are the spell gem files.

Put these in your custom UI directory and it "should" work.

ok, so the buff package I have only has three files, so I'm assuming you mean replace the three files, and cut them out of the original, then remove the others youre speaking of, and hopefully whats inside those three files I put in, cover taking out all the other stuff? I do see all of the gemicons01 through 03.tga, spell_icon.tga and spells 01 through 07.tga in my existing lodi dodi UI, but not in the new spells only package I want to insert

The EQUI_BuffWindow.xml and EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow.xml files in the Default Old folder are designed only for Default Old. If you use it in another UI, you could crash or the UI will just break.

Chances are you are not needing to modify the actual window as it sounds like you just need the icon graphic themselves.

If that is the case, you can copy these files from any UI you like into your custom UI:
