ok - I give up....
 

saw the quartz skin screen shot - and ran to download it :)


problem - having installed it several times - no way will it load

following error is reported:

from this I guess that i am missing some files that the author had - or am I totally missing something obvious??

the author very kindly replied to my email -

your missing the EQUI_Templates.xml file, either you miscopied or eq overwrote it with the default somehow, all of them boxes are looking for the classes specified within it :)

starnge thing is - i have checked, and the file that was in the zip, is in the correct directory - and is the right size

confused :)

Statix has really done a nice Job. I use his UI.


One thing you have to do is make sure to read the Readme.

In short, do this.

Copy /default to /quartz

This first step is very important or you will miss alot of stuff.


copy .ini file in statix's release to your /everquest directory and change the name.
set resolution to 1280x1024

several times so far...

I have been using the druid skin with no problems, and i have also used eldriin's skin - again no problems

the one i really want to use - no way :(

downloaded it again - and there we go - the file i had must have been nerfed - but now working fine and playing hunt the buff bar

is an awesome skin
