[live] Patch 3.12.09
The following is a XML compare of changes the 3.12.09 patch has brought to the EverQuest interface.
UI Patch Notes: *** UI: General ***
Changed: EQUI_DynamicZoneWnd.xml EQUI_HotButtonWnd.xml EQUI_OptionsWindow.xml EQUI_PetInfoWindow.xml EQUI_RaidWindow.xml EQUI_TaskWnd.xml SIDL.xml dragitem68.tga New: None. (It says EQUI_GuildCreationWindow.xml but that was patched during the last update technically.) |
So, are those of us who spent AA's on pet focus and hold commands going to get those back? Now that newbs get them automatically? I see no advantage the old commands have except for raiding, which many don't do.
|
No.
You still need to buy focus and hold to use them. Where in that patch does it say you do not? |
...
Yea, this just allows you to put a Pet Focus and Pet Hold button on the pet window, and hotswap them around. Kinda cool I guess..

old HotButtonWnd may cause client crash
SKlug replied to the issue of client crashes if you are using an older HotButton UI that does not include the code for HotButton windows 2-4.

This is basically what focus was used for. By me anyway. The qattack command just puts the selected mob in a "que" as the next mob to be attacked. Pretty useless IMHO. New window is bugged anyway. The target health doesn't update unless you keep re-targeting the mob after healing or DSing your pet! |
I am just curious why Suspend Minion and Companion Relocation were left out of the new options.
They are pet commands after all. Could have added the other various pet aa heals and buffs and stuff too. |

No, it just says that now, IF you have the AAs (and only IF), you can have buttons with these abilities directly in your pet window box. Not that these AAs are given freely to anyone. A little and subtle difference ;) |
