target shown as link...
this is prob not the right place to ask but...
i used to have my targets show as links on my hotbuttons. now sense last 2 patches they are bugged for some reason, in the ini file it all looks well but in game... in action button edit window its all scrambled, but when i hit the button it looks ok in chat except it just shows maybe a letter or 2 of first name and then the last name. this is how i do it... Page3Button9Line1=/g incoming -----> 0026915-00001-00001-00001-00001-00001C7442069 %T <----- Kill it before %S hurts my little cute pet then i found new set of numbers i tried today but does the same ( tried with and without the brackets... Page3Button9Line1=/g Incoming -----> [0028071-00001-00001-00001-00001-000015ED87FFC %T ] <----- Dont make me get up and show you how to kill it =P yest from different toon ini's but i use the first one in all of them, the second is where i was trying the different things. oh and yes they are saved as UTF-8 not ansi, and it does the same on 3 different computers so i know its not a file bug. So my question is... Does anyone know this problem or a way i can fix it please or have any ideas? |
Everyone has this problem, its a bug and there is no way around it other than removing the wannabe-link code.
|
Are either of these relevant to fixing the issue?

Its caused by SOE adding more slots for auguments (I will assume they are talking about more slots for 2h weapons? /shrug) and the number length has changed due to that. 00B73B099A500000000000000000000000000007606650107 C %T is a valid link that will work for you.
Edit: odd, the forum added a space beteen the 7 and C that I can't remove. |
Thanks for the info :)
At first I couldnt figure out why it wasnt working for me originally until I realized I somehow saved the INI file as a TXT file. Was going bonkers! |

If you are lazy just add 6 blanks before your %T - this will show the complete name again (as someone in these forums pointed out to me last week) - it works fine :-) |
thnx for the help guys :)
