Background

Ok i have a background i want to use, i know i have to change the default background texture info, but do i have to add a UI2danimation code for it, or will it read my background if i just change the texture info?, i just want to change all the window backgrounds, as i have already figured out how to change individual windows background.

The best way to figure out how to do something is to look at an example.

Search for wnd_bg_light_rock.tga in EQUI_Animations.xml and EQUI_Textures.xml.

light_rock is used as the background for about 90% of the windows in EQ's UI. You'll see how it's used appon further investigation.

heh thanks, thats what ive been trying to do, and i did manage to get it to work, kinda, only everything was white, i think it might have been my tga file though, but im not sure, heh as you can see, i have no idea what im doing, still learning this

I had no idea what a Targa file was, or even how to create it before the new UI came out.

I didn't play much with the beta UI, and now since I have nothing else to do .. thus my involvement now.

EQUI_Textures.xml

Hiya Guice, Im having problems locating this texture file, EQUI_Textures.xml. Maybe im going blind. :(

Hmm ..... May have meant >>>

He must have meant EQUI_Templates

That is where this can be found also. Shows which template ( Like Inventory or Chat, etc..) has the texture given like the wnd_bg_light_rock.tga or wnd_bg_dark_rock.tga

This is endless you could place any personal texture in that space as long as you do as shown in the Info section of forums for making and saving .tga files

ACK! I'm a goof .. Sorry, I did mean EQUI_Templates.xml
