Their outlook for the game industry looks bright for 2003 - consumer spending worldwide may surpass $1.1 trillion(!), increasing 3.7% from 2002. Driven by the growth of broadband connections, wireless (cell phone) entertainment, and the influence of next-gen consoles, PricewaterhouseCoopers predicts that the videogame industry will become the U.S. market's fastest growing sector of the entertainment and media category this year.
