Default Speaking of Transparency: Screen Objects

I'm doing fine with the Alpha Channel concept.

I'm having trouble with screen objects not fading out when I set window transparency from my in-game ui dragdown menu.

A good example of this is the map window. I have a screen object to create a resizable (though not entirely cooperative) map background. When the map fades, the regular background of the window becomes transparent, but all Screen objects maintain opacity, including buttons and map background.

What do I need to adjust to make these objects fade as well?
