I've started probably over 20 characters in the time I've played EverQuest and I've never got any over level 20 except my main, my bard. I love twisting songs because its the first class where I really feel involved with the combat. I agree that it's hard work, and it makes your fingers tired after doing it for a few hours. But I'm weird and I like that.
Now what I really dislike is having to juggle my inventory to use an instrument. I have them lined up in my hotbar, and I don't know how many times I've grabbed my secondary weapon first by mistake, switching it with my instrument and then trying to switch out my instrument with my primary slot. Of course that's impossible since instruments go in the secondary slot. Silly me!
You should watch me fumble quickly after that to make up for my error. hehe
