From what I can tell, there are two graphical files called gemicons01.tga and gemicons02.tga These contain all the new spellbook gem icons. There are 169 new spellbook Icons. I would suppose there are alot fewer old spellbook icons since they seemed to detail all the different spell icons instead of plopping them in a generalized catagory ... i.e. Superior Heal had same icon as Cure Poison, but now with new icons they don't. Anyway off in search of the old spellbook icon file I went, and I cannot find it. There is one file called Spell_Icons.tga that has 23 old spellbook icons in it, but I know it doesn't contain all the old ones.

I am not totally sure how the spell book icons relate to the spell gems that show in your spell bar, but suffice it to say I didn't find any files with a complete set of old spell icons. I suppose unless VI releases a way to /enable the old spell gems, you won't see it as a UI mod.
