"Target of Target" mod request
Hey guys and gals
After spending 7 GoD grp AAs to purchase the ability to see the target of your target, i was disappointed on the way it looked :/
This link shows the pic of the current way it looks
Any way to make it look like one of the many wonderful target window mods allready out there? The default one is just an eye sore!
Well thanks for your time

It's hard to code xml for a window you can't see. When I have target-of-target skill, I will make a window for it. I assume this is what is stopping most modders out there.

Target of Target Window
Maybe if we can get some more screenshots that are closeups and more in action. This may help in creating a nice window.
But - Yes many not being able to view this window will slow down any mods of it.

Edit: It's up
I was on a raid last night and had a chance to write up a small mod for this based off of Odi's target window. It's in the process of being added by a mod at the moment, but keep an eye on the Misc. downloads section for the target of target window mod.

It would be great if you can intergrate this into an existing 'target' window. I'm not sure of the best way to do it tho.
That hp of target window is godly for healers and monks(pullers)

I am working on such a mod, its nearly complete and should be ready for upload in a day or two.
Here's a screenshot of how it looks like. The mod is more for priest classes as you can see its a variant of the healer group mod. The purple bar between the target gauge and target of target gauge is the casting bar.
Any comments?

You can pretty easily add targets target to the normal target window, or mod the new window itself.
Simply open the default targets target xml file, note the eqtypes and names, then graft the code you need from the mod you want to the new window or the normal target window (changing the names of course).
(I don't have the eqtypes available since I am at work (cough))...
The main problem is to tweak the targets target and see your changes, you must have the skill and you must be in a group of 3 or more.
Whenever you reload the UI the targets target window will disappear. (at least it did for me)
Another issue with the targets target window itself, it does not appear to save it position or transparency settings.. whenever you log out you lose the settings.. hopefully the patch tomorrow will fix that..
Anyway, if you are at all familiar with tweaking the eq xml ui then modiding the TT window should be pretty simple.

FYI, I did that and it's posted here (just saw this thread):

And that's why I did it...
Actually on one of my characters it did save the position and transparancy and on the other one it never would... Must be buggy. Still annoying to have to bring the window back up with a hotkey every time though.

The HoTT window saves its position and transparency fine for me. Just make sure that when you change it you exit out of EQ normally (that is, not /q or closing the window). That way the ini file will have a chance to save.

For those that like the Infiniti2 target window (transparent with the consider box as a small colored box next to the name), I've modded this for target of target and its awaiting. I'll follow up with a link later or check my skins to see when its approved.
When approved, URL will be:

You need to manually close and reopen HOTT window to save it's settings by pressing the hotkey rather than letting it disappear due to group disbanding/raid etc.
