Default In Game Atlas

Is the ingame atlas skinnable / customizeable? I noticed under the Atlas folder in the main EQ directory, there is the default folder. You can open up UI_charactername_servername.ini and see at the top there is a section for loading an atlas skin.

UI_charactername_servername.ini
[Main]
UISkin=default
AtlasSkin=default
...

I have tried to treat the atlas skin as a uiskin and add a folder,change a graphic, and edit the ini to point to the new skin. So far it just totally removes the atlas tab from the map. I think this would be very interesting and fun to mod if it is capable of supporting it. Thanks for any input!

From what I remember, you actually change the window just like any other UI element. The AtlasSkin is the sub-folder of in-game maps to load.

Back when I was a guide, I had a modified Atlas that showed the actual name of the zone, as well as which zones were "off limits". Nothing official, but something I cooked up.
