chat windows
I have seen screen shots where people have more then one chat window,like one for general chat and another for guild etc etc.
is there a mod to do that or can it be done without one?

It's not a mod, you right click on the text chat bar and you select new chat window.

ahh ok thank you this userinterface is new to me i kinda like the old way EQ looked but this is getting better the more i learn about it.

You can make additional chat windows in game.
Right click on the title bar or text input bar and there will be an option to open new wndow. Then you can resize and move the window to where ever you want.
In the new window right click the title bar again and go down to filters, this is where you chose what text appears in this window.
You can do this as many times as you want
