Previously my first hotbutton window was different from the others, including my top-level inventory slots and my equipment along with my hotbuttons. I've modified it and even rebuilt the window from the bottom up; but either it will crash EQ or it will cause the whole UI not to load, depending on how I format it. Has anyone gotten something like this to work with the new hot buttons?
I'll get a copy of the two main ways I've tried modding my hotbutton window tonight, I have to leave for work now.

good luck with that ...the way they draw the windows now i dont think you will be able to have any additions ..all windows will have to have same. could be wrong but from what i have seen not possible...they basically have 1 layout for 10 bars unlike the old that had a seperate layout for each.
You CAN have additions on hotbars but you need to make a new HB_HotButtonLayout TileLayoutWindow with locations rather than anchors - assuming you are going to make the window fixed and not resizable. Check out my Hotbutton optional file below where I added a HB_HotButtonLayoutFixed TileLayout and added that piece to the hotbar 1 screen.
