I agree!!!
Here! Here! I second the motion. If someone could mod the Winamp program into the UI that would rock!!! I hate the sneaky amp etc way to do it, and it doesn't look like VI will be addressing their flawed CD commands anythime soon. So ...IT"S UP TO US!!!er YOU!!! those of you that can Mod that is LOL.

Hate to pop the bubble, but me popping it.
There's no way to add additional commands into the UI. Sorry. This does include the inability to create custom UI "hotkeys/macros".

acctually there might be a way.. if I recall it correctly, there were commands implemented way back to control outside media players such as winamp a while back... you might need to check with VI website as to the exact syntax, but I am pretty sure they exist...
so, you create some hotkeys/socials to control it, then incorporate those hotkeys/socials into the UI skin.
not gonna do it myself as there is little use for me for it, and I like my UI the way I finnaly got it to be, but if anyone cares to play with that, this is a possible apoarch

No can do. For one, socials currently only work in the Hotkeys window. There's no way to move them to other windows.
Secondly, we can't create new windows.
This idea, if done, will require that you hijack the Hokeys window using the genaric square, but smaller, hotkeys. Then you can just use 1-0.
Now, there are commands in game, but that was previously discribed as: "their flawed CD commands". So, he knows about the / commands, but they seem to be broke.
The commands, if I recall, do actually incorperate with WinAmp. I've never used them, since I normally have my home stero system playing in the background.

you can easily incorporate hotkeys/socials into a custom window.. no need to add a new window you can hijack one of the unused windows such as the friends window, or you can just add buttons to an existing window.... for example put 10 social buttons in the player window.... however, socials will only work with a mouse click... anyways I think that will work, but you do have to put a full socials page up but you can play with the Social buttons look/size/caption or so I think anyways.. I acctually kept my socials and hotkeys where they are so I have little exp with those windows
again this is just theory I have not tryed any of this nor will I try any of it.. but the options are out there for those that have no home stereo :P hehe

Unless VI's fixed the inability to move buttons to other windows, it won't work I'm afraid.
It's a bug (?) in the UI that prevent any button from working in another window. Hotkeys are concidered buttons. Thus, they can only work in the Hotkey bank, and no place else.
Same reasons you can't move the Pet Button to any other window.

Ha, won't that be nice. The maps are static images. Nothing more. You can very well have a static image of a screen shot of WinAmp in the UI, if you want that. The only problem with adding anything like WinAmp front ends is the inability to create custom actions.
ie - Click this, this happens. No can do. No way at all to create that. The closest we have are teh socials that require use of / commands. And you just said yourself, the / commands don't work for you.
