if this is why your not playing EQ then EQ isnt for you.... just becouse you dont have a ring blah what do you think the ppl where doing since day one of EQ < no ring >
Not to be mean but just play with out it....

Kenny, that's not the point.
Sony should be more methodical about testing their stuff BEFORE they release it to the public. After all, that's WHY they have a test server.

Would you give your kid a candy bar and then turn around and tell him he can't eat it? That's just not right. If Sony is going to put this to the public, it should work for all or none. I have no problem seeing similar effects on other games. Why doesn't it work here?

I think the fact of the matter is, Sony just doesn't care (and is probably not even working on a fix for others) because of the supposedly new graphics engine coming out. Well if this is the case, they better release it fast. I'm really sick of logging onto the test server only to be disappointed that it still doesn't work.

We are not currently aware of any issues with the GeForce Series of cards and the Target Ring. Which series of drivers are you currently running on that card? Are you running the most currently supported drivers? Are your motherboard drivers and Windows all up to date?

Roger would you be willing to try and presuade the Dev Team to get it working for people with cards that don't have Hardware T&L? I mean come on I have proven that it will show up with my TNT2 card under certain circumstances (only 1 places so far) that I think there is a chance for it to work. It works in Erudin right at the entrance to the dock from the palace check my screenshot i posted above.

The problem did not get resolved, it simply got corrected for some people. It will be resolved when it has been corrected for the rest of us. Radon's are not the only chip sets out there ya know.

If your video card is not on the list of supported cards they won’t be working on fixing the ring for you.

Supported Video Cards

I’m only going to give one warning to all that have tried to derail this thread. Keep this thread on topic (post if it does or doesn’t work, what video card you have and any other technical info that is important). This is not a thread to discuss anything else but that.

I know my card is not supported and that they probably won't work on it but I just wanted to say that it will work (well sorta) at this one place. Don't you find it weird that it works without Hardware T&L which is relies on apparently.

now running Radeon 9600 - never had any problems with the targeting ring (and i haven't done a 'find trader' on this computer), but i AM crashing MUCH less (happy monkie . . . well, druid right now, but . . .) - i have discovered, however, that if i do crash (only happened twice other than the problem following, and one was on a zone), i have to restart my computer before getting back in or i will continue to crash within five minutes of being in with a toon.
