Sounds like your UI is severely out of date. Your best bet is to download the latest version of whatever your using or switch back do the "Defunct" UI.

Ill look into this. As far as I know, I only had a custom UI affecting my Music Player Window and my Player Window (both work just fine). I certainly didnt do anything with race change, marketplace, map view, etc.
Thank you guys so much for the help!
Ill report back the results when I next login.

Chances are it goes with what we were saying before. If you create a custom UI folder, you should ONLY place the files that have been edited and customized. If you copy over any files from the default folder, they might work at that time, but the next time SOE changes those files they will be broken.
This is why we say to NEVER copy files from the default UI. When you load a custom UI, EQ loads those files and looks for all of the rest of the files needed as well. If those files are not located in the custom UI folder, the game will automatically load them from the default UI.

Deleted the Container and Item Display with mixed results LoL.
It solved the issue with my bags and item display (HORRAY)
Killed (reset to default) my Player Window, Bank Window, Long Duration Buff Window, Short Duration Buff Window, and Music Player Window. This is pretty much the rest of my custom UI entirely.
Not sure how to proceed ATM. Im not sure I have copies of those files backed up somewhere as I have no idea what the file names are to be restored.
Ill post pics of the UI I have and maybe someone can point me in a direction.

Can you zip the UI and load it up someplace?

Zipped up, its 18MB. For some reason, everything from default appears to be in my custom UI file, 556 files total. I never put them there, sometime before VoA launched, everything just landed there. Trust me, I certainly dont want those files there as I cant sort thru and instantly see what files I have/need.
Im not sure you want all those files TBH, but I can post if u want them.

For what it's worth, my opinion would be to start over with a different UI which is kept up to date.
Based upon the error logs and descriptions of your problems, the UI code sounds like a complete disaster. Frankly, I'm surprised it functioned at all. This patch wasn't that intricate of a patch. From a code perspective, there weren't any widespread, critical changes rather than a couple of minor tweaks. Who knows what other Easter eggs are buried in your UI waiting to blowup.
From the screenshots you've posted, your bank doesn't look like it supports big bags. That's not critical in and of itself, but it could be more user friendly. Your buff and song windows are used commonly in many UIs. The player window modification is used in many UIs, although others may not have the exact same information, at least you would have an author to contact and request changes.
There are probably eight or ten UIs on this site which are very similar to the screenshots you've posted which are kept up-to-date by the author.

This goes back to Sparxx's earlier suggestion to delete multiple files. There are errors in your player, map, marketplace, race change, and options XML files. This will cause those files to load incorrectly or not at all.
You will need to find the files he listed and zip them up for someone to look at, or delete them as Sparxx suggested, or find a new UI (or pieces from current UIs) to start from as firerescue suggested.

It won't be that simple due to the fact deleting the container and item display .xml crashed all those other windows.
This means whomever the original author was declared custom global templates and animations without using an .xml include or any thought to where to logically include the custom elements. I certainly wouldn't begin trouble shooting a UI by looking for player window templates in the container or item display window. That's probably the last place I'd look.
The custom elements "could be" declared in any of the 566 files in his UI folder which are .xml files. It's also possible the custom elements were lost forever when he deleted the container and item display window as it sounds like he didn't have a backup. I can't imagine spending the time looking through 566 - x files to find a custom template, only to discover it doesn't actually exist anymore.
Hmmm, I suppose a professional or paid .xml editor could make it trivial to find the custom templates if they exist. CTRL-F searching through all those files in notepad and any of the freeware programs I'm aware of would be a nightmare.

I think you may be correct. I looked through old custom UI folders, and the last UI I had that did not have the 556 files is from UF (that UI folder had 23 files but was broken).
After looking in the new interface pieces, I see a decent selection of parts that are similar/identical/better than what I currently have. I started this process hoping there was a 1 file quick fix and discovered things are really a mess. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and direction.
ps
Ill be keeping a clean copy of only new UI files elsewhere with links to where I got them to ease this process should it happen again.

I had a custom Container window that I had created a while back, so the recent change messed it up the same way as the OP. I found the issue was that they moved a bunch of buttons and other parts out of the container file.
If you have a custom Container file and want to keep it as part of a custom UI, you can edit the container file in the custom UI folder and remove ALL "Augment" items, plus the "Insert", "Delete", and "Remove" buttons. Make sure to remove the definitions throughout the file, as well as the inclusions at the very bottom.
Works like a charm after that cruft is removed
