Default Text/Background colors in chat windows

Moo.

Hey all, i've been relatively slow to move to the new UI for several reasons, but in order to use some of the new features
it looks like i'm going to have to convert.

One thing i will have to use, is the viewport command, since
i still am a die-hard fan of the old, old, windowed EQ mode,
i don't like having in game graphics covered by any windows
at all.

What i have problems figuring out now, is how to set up my
main chat window. Before you could have black text on the
light brownish background, in the old windowed mode, (but if you hit f-10 to change to fullscreen it would be white text on a transparent window).

Nothing i find seems to want to let me allow black text again,
all of the text which was normally black shows up as white.
It still shows up on black on the options tab where it lists all the
/usercolor and their colors, but still displays white.

It's probably something simple so any help would be appreciated!

Also anyone pointing me to any examples that use /viewport would also be appreciated, thanks!
