A long while back i seem to remember that you could modify your macro text with special characters.Not sure if i'm explaining it in proper terms.
If i have a macro that says "i have %T incoming,Stand up!" ,you used to be able to add stars,hearts,Wavy lines or other special characters before and after the " i have %T incoming,Stand up! "
Also if you were say a caster,make a macro that says "casting such and such on so and so" and the spell that you were casting would show as a link that someone in group could click on and it would give the description of the spell.
Anyone remember this and could explain how to do it?

You need to open your Charname_Server.ini, then save your ini file in UTF-8 format (works well with the normal editor in windows.)
Now you can open it with any text editor and add the special symbols into your hotkeys.
Your startmenu links to a program to find out the special symbols.. I have a german interface tho and don't know the path to it. Its in the same menu as defragmentation though in the system programs.

There used to be a really good explanation of how to make your %T a link at www.steelwarrior.net or .com... cant remember which.. you may have to dig for it but its there.

Back then when links went live they were able to extract link numbers from tells to yourself via ;tell .
like above open your charname_server.ini and edit your hotkeys.. you make links by inserting into your hotkey line. In this example the outgoing text will be %t.. You should know what this means.

Simply replace the %T with any text you like.
