One of the features I got to really like in two other MMORPGs I've tried (sadly they otherwise were sub-par) was having a little message pop up when a friend logged in. Also, as much as I know one can use the /note feature on friends or ignores, is there anything new about being able to place a note next to *why* they are there, or an option to "auto-share" friend/ignore lists with the default ini file in some way?
Ideally I'd like to be able to get an announcement when a friend logs in, or when they log off, with a note in parenthesis with their note or the category I assigned them to.
For instance I might have "RL Friends" as a category, and a note next to each name as to who the player ofthe character is. Then, when one of them logs in I would see something like: "[RL Friends] Killemall (played by Joe Schmoe) has logged in" in one of my chat windows. Then I could list "tradeskillers", "clerics", "good tanks", and so on.
And, as long as I'm dreaming, when I use the LFG tool, I'd like to be able to select which categories I want to include in my search, because as much as I like JimBob the blacksmith, JimBob the cleric can't heal his way out of a wet paper bag.... So being able to say "use category X" as a checkbox as one of the filters (either restricted to, or avoiding) would be a dream within a dream.
