Question Switching Characters Crashes Target Ring

I've had some problems with my targeting rings crashing EQ. I'm using a custom one right now, but any custom one seems to crash it. I'll start EQ with one character, then log off, change to another character and the target ring will be all white for the first target I click on, and the second time I select something, EQ crashes. Does anyone know why? It doesn't make any sense to me =P

Please post your uierrors.txt as instructed in the readme forum.

If you are using an ATI based video card I understand there are some "bugs" Sony needs to work out with those cards. You can read more on this topic in our new SOE Corner forum. If your card is one of those effected there is nothing that I know that can be done until its fixed.

That same thing has been happening to me as well. Default, custom... doesn't seem to matter. It's also random... sometimes its fine after switching a character, or sometimes the moment I target something after logging in *BooM* crash. Occasionally it doesn't even wait for that and just explodes at the character select screen. Doesn't seem to be UI related, and my card is an Nvidia. Both the find and target ring seem to be the culprit.

Same here. Funny since the new patch and the convenient lil error message, I crash 80% more than before, lol. I just keep clicking yes to send the info to Sony. Hopefully that really works

Hmm... I have a geforce FX 5900 256mb running force FX 53.03 drivers and havent noticed this problem yet. I have no problems changeing charaters with the 3D target enabled.

Sounds like the 3D Targeting system still needs some work.
