Default Help with UI pieces

I am playing on an emu, but have successfully loaded several UI pieces in the past (custom spell icons, player window, etc.)

I decided that I needed better hotkeys and found an awesome setup http://www.eqinterface.com/download...nfo.php?id=4969 that seemed to be popular.

Upon installing it not only doesn't show up when I log in, but reverts / changes the player window and spell icons that I am using even though it is only a hotkey modification. If I install a different piece for hotkeys http://www.eqinterface.com/download...nfo.php?id=2220 it works and keeps the other modifications that I am using.

I read through posts and the faq but I have no idea why this is occurring.

Something in the first hotkey piece you tried is conflicting with your other pieces and causing the default UI to load. Look in your Everquest folder and see if you have a UIErrors.txt file. At the end it decribes the error.

If your playing on an Emu then you should probably ask for help there as I'm sure that there are a lot of differences from Live.

Haha, well I'm sure there are a lot of differences but it seems to me that you guys are the experts. In addition, I downloaded it from this site and am sure some of you are using it.

I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

The problem is, if emu is working differently, we'll have no way of figuring out what, much less offering a fix. I think that is what Savok was saying.

So basically it could be anything?

I was hoping someone had encountered a similar issue before, and could narrow it down to at least a list of possible fixes. I understand that I am the minority here, but there are some Classic UI's / pieces on this site as well as ones made specifically for emu servers

Maybe find someone who also plays on an emu server as well as live to help you in PMs?

I have no idea who could help you with that, at all. Nope, nobody at all...

The problem is the new tiled hotbars aren't supported pre-VoA. That particular hotbar mod will never work on an older client.

Emu servers are against SOE's rules. Thus you won't get help for them here. The only reason you got this much is because I didn't see the thread until now. Please refrain from posting any more threads asking for help on private servers.
