Default Basic graphic help needed (tnx)

I am using Photoshop 6 to create TGA images for my UI building education. I creat my images on a blank canvas, and yet they show up in a white box in my UI. what can I do about this?

Thanks much.

Default ...

Well, for those interested, I found the solution to my problem.

I was creating Transparant TGA's (intentional), but was saving in 24 bit mode. TGA's apparantly won't save transparancy in 24 bit mode.

For those of you working in photoshop and want to make transparant TGA's here's a quick method. Create your image, CTRL+Click the layer for your image (select your image), go to channels and click create new channel (little square with circle in it at bottom of the pallette). This will create the alpha channel needed with your image cut out of the area you want transparant. Wa-lah.
