Since I was messing with the map window again tonight, and haven't seen this wished for yet (I've seen it requested though)

I wish the MVW_MapRenderArea element of the mapview window could be dynamically resized ingame without having to do a loadskin.. Then we could make resizable map windows..

Currently, You can make the render area resize when you resize the window.. But the actual map won't resize until you type /loadskin SkinName 1..

Id like to second this... I have wanted a resizeable map window since its release. There are time I want a bigger window for mor detail and information... and others where I just want a general gist of where I was.

I'd also like to see an option to stop the Escape key from closing the map window. People use Escape to cancel their target, but it also closes the map window... this will be annoying in UI's where the map window is designed to always be up (ie. WoW UI)

I agree with that Soes!
They can do that by:

Giving us a way to set a key in the option menu for "Cancel Target"

and

Giving us another customizable key to "Close Windows" the way the esc key works now..

I see a ton of smaller maps that I would love to have in game the that we have now is way too big when you are traveling. However, I do not want to download one of these if I cannot use the new maps from eqtoolbox.

The maps from EQ toolbox work with any UI map mod known to me. Mine included and its pretty small.

i would also LOVE a resizable map. i hate that i cannot make the ingame map any bigger or smaller than it is. i see alot of smaller map UI pieces but none bigger. anyone been working on this at all?
