since i'm bumping my uber ancient thread to the top here, maybe i could get a question answered from a mod.
foofyspells is getting pretty big now, this last update is 5.87MB. it will always keep getting bigger as more and more spells are added to everquest so ultimately the size is out of my control.
i have put quite a bit of effort into keeping the size down, leaving out certain data, stripping whitespace and newlines, including a rather painful mapping of filenames into a cryptic 3-letter system. the processing for this mapping is stupidly expensive and increases geometrically with the # of spells in spdat. currently foofyspells takes 2 hours to generate.
anyway, i was just wondering if i could get an exception on the 6MB file size limit for foofyspells. if i can't go over 6MB i'll have to start leaving out some indexes, i.e. sort of an econo-foofy.

There is a currently a bug in the code preventing me from updating foofyspells. I don't know when I will get time to address it, sorry.
The bug is in the code that mangles the filenames into those crazy 3 letter names. The processing required to do that has a geometric-dependency on the number of spells in spdat and for the last year or so, foofyspells has been taking an extremely long time to run. This last patch finally broke it, and I don't know when I will be able to fix it.
I can very easily disable the "collapsing" code, as I call it -- because it collapses an entire file path into 3 letters -- is very easily disabled, in fact it is only a configuration setting: Collapse=0. The reason I enable it is that by doing so, all of the filenames are much much shorter, and therefore all the internal cross-referencing links are shorter, which allows foofyspells to make it past the 6MB upload limit imposed by eqinterface. With Collapse=1 I am well over that limit.
So for now, I can't update foofyspells. I'll get to it when I am able.

Thanks for the update. Been using Foofy's for a long time. One thing you could do is to break the file up into smaller chunks. Certainly not optimal but could be an option.

You may or may not appreciat just how useful this UI Mod is for raiding and meeting new mobs no need to Tab to All's or Lucy just read it and let Raid know.

With the TSS update, I noticed when you click on a spellname from the list, it won't list the class/level within the view, making you unable to go back to that class or level of that class, to easily view others. You always have to go back to the main Foofy page, find the class, and then the level again to view them.
This is only with the new 71-75 spells.

it's lucy's data that doesn't have an entry there in the classes field so foofy doesn't present it. i'll wait a bit and see if allakhazam's fixes that, otherwise i guess i'll have to form that field myself.

something happened with lucy's data causing the spell name fields to get cut off at 35'ish characters. stuck with it until they update.
