There is nothing to save, this is a problem created by SoE and thier ini files and not by the UI itself. Currently you can see the post by drakah for some hints on how to fix it. Essentially any window that is miss-sized you need to delete the entry from the ini file (I have not tried this yet on mine taking their word for it) and the 3 windows that I noticed had issues were the buffwindow shortbuffwindow and petinfowindow or something like that.

As a side note I noticed that there is a new dragitem that was not in the animations file. So those of you that wanna see the booster pack icon or the FF reward dice icon the animation file up top is the one that I just updated (untested I havent logged in yet to be sure it works) I'm posting this now because I dont want to alt-tab EQ at all till they fix the problem with that messing up the UI.

Anyone able to post their Configuration Settings File from their UI for Vert? Other people have been posting theirs to fix the problem with window miss size. Just post the UI_YOURNAME_YOURSERVER, I cannot seem to fix mine, and I hate working with default, can someone help, please?

I set my buff and short buff windows to sizable and then stretched them until the Vert windows worked again. Then I set them back. I then went into my UI file for that character and copied the settings from the UI file for my monk, to the UI file for my Druid. That did it for me.

You can probably just cut and paste these into your UI_ file for the buff and short buff windows.

I run 1280 x 1024.

Default Book

Does anyone have a book with a scribe button? I removed the current vert one, but without it, it crashed the UI.

This should fix your issue for the short term.

You can ignore this one (Vert doesn't use the stupid whole player window attack animation).

This was changed a long time ago (how old IS this vert UI you have? )

Code:
<StaticAnimation item= "ClassAnim"> <ScreenID>ClassAnim</ScreenID> <Location> <X>8</X> <Y>170</Y> </Location> <Size> <CX>64</CX> <CY>128</CY> </Size> <!-- Do NOT include an animation here since it messes with other UIs. Instead an animation instance is dynamically created and used. --> </StaticAnimation> <Screen item = "IW_CharacterView"> <ScreenID>IW_CharacterView</ScreenID> <RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition> <Location> <X>8</X> <Y>170</Y> </Location> <Size> <CX>64</CX> <CY>128</CY> </Size> <Style_VScroll>false</Style_VScroll> <Style_HScroll>false</Style_HScroll> <Style_Transparent>true</Style_Transparent> <TooltipReference>Drop Item Here to Auto Equip</TooltipReference> <DrawTemplate>WDT_Inner</DrawTemplate> <Style_Titlebar>false</Style_Titlebar> <Style_Closebox>false</Style_Closebox> <Style_Minimizebox>false</Style_Minimizebox> <Style_Border>true</Style_Border> <Style_Sizable>false</Style_Sizable> <Pieces>ClassAnim</Pieces> </Screen>

Code:
<Pieces>Screen:IW_CharacterView</Pieces> <Pieces>ClassAnim</Pieces>

Oh god you don't want to know
Its been hacked so much I barely know what is from where and how, its backbone is vert though, just got some of my own request put in by various people.

I'll try and see if I can figure out getting those fixes in, thanks alot.

ok the scribe error must of been residue.
Potion belt error fixed and gone now, had to figure out new sizes but looking good now.

Cannot figure out last one though, here is mine its very similar to yours:

<StaticAnimation item="ClassAnim">
<ScreenID>ClassAnim</ScreenID>
<Location>
<X>210</X>
<Y>64</Y>
</Location>
<Size>
<CX>1</CX>
<CY>1</CY>
</Size>
<Animation>A_ClassAnim01</Animation>
</StaticAnimation>
<Screen item="IW_CharacterView">
<ScreenID>IW_CharacterView</ScreenID>
<RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
<Location>
<X>2</X>
<Y>5</Y>
</Location>
<Size>
<CX>80</CX>
<CY>50</CY>
</Size>
<Style_VScroll>false</Style_VScroll>
<Style_HScroll>false</Style_HScroll>
<Style_Transparent>false</Style_Transparent>
<TooltipReference>Auto Equip</TooltipReference>
<DrawTemplate>WDT_Inner</DrawTemplate>
<Style_Titlebar>false</Style_Titlebar>
<Style_Closebox>false</Style_Closebox>
<Style_Minimizebox>false</Style_Minimizebox>
<Style_Border>true</Style_Border>
<Style_Sizable>false</Style_Sizable>
</Screen>

The only difference I see is I have this line:
<Animation>A_ClassAnim01</Animation>
I tokk it out but still same error, the pieces are there too.

<Pieces>Screen:IW_CharacterView</Pieces>
<Pieces>ClassAnim</Pieces>

[Thu Oct 18 23:24:35 2007] Warning: file EQUI_LayoutCopyWnd.xml not found in directory UIFiles\vert-LON-caster\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.
[Thu Oct 18 23:24:41 2007] Error: Could not find child A_AttackIndicatorAnim in window PlayerWindow

[Thu Oct 18 23:24:41 2007] Error: Could not find child ClassAnim in window IW_CharacterView

[Thu Oct 18 23:24:45 2007] Warning: file UIFiles\vert-LON-caster\dragitem1.tga not found in directory UIFiles\vert-LON-caster\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.

It's cool at the moment though, no red errors, though be nice to get the annoying log errors dealt with once and for all.

Thanks for your help.

That did not seem to help, think all that stuff was already in there. But after painstakingly(sp) going through it, I found out I was missing:

<Pieces>ClassAnim</Pieces>

from:

<Screen item="IW_CharacterView">
<ScreenID>IW_CharacterView</ScreenID>
<RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
<Location>
<X>2</X>
<Y>5</Y>
</Location>
<Size>
<CX>80</CX>
<CY>50</CY>
</Size>
<Style_VScroll>false</Style_VScroll>
<Style_HScroll>false</Style_HScroll>
<Style_Transparent>false</Style_Transparent>
<TooltipReference>Auto Equip</TooltipReference>
<DrawTemplate>WDT_Inner</DrawTemplate>
<Style_Titlebar>false</Style_Titlebar>
<Style_Closebox>false</Style_Closebox>
<Style_Minimizebox>false</Style_Minimizebox>
<Style_Border>true</Style_Border>
<Style_Sizable>false</Style_Sizable>
<Pieces>ClassAnim</Pieces>
</Screen>

So just down to one error woohoo! You already mentioned vert does not use it, still is there anyway to hack something to get rid of the error?

[Sun Oct 21 13:01:32 2007] Error: Could not find child A_AttackIndicatorAnim in window PlayerWindow

Removed this:
<StaticAnimation item="A_AttackIndicatorAnim">
<ScreenID>A_AttackIndicatorAnim</ScreenID>
<Animation>A_AttackIndicator</Animation>
</StaticAnimation>
Made no difference. Wonder if pieces is missing like last problem.

Thanks for your help.

All that does is make a crappy little white/red flashing box appear in the top left of the player window. it doesn't fit with the Vert style UI at all and generally is safely ignored.
