A more useful map system
I have had this idea bouncing around my head for quet a while because i tend to get lost very often and am not sure how to approach the idea.
I would like to create a map that pinpoints location of character on map and also only shows the map to the area that the character is currently in(example if i was in felwithe it would get the return variable from eq on felwithe's name, i know it's not felwithe on the who thing that shows the filename for the area). I would also like to make the map if not pinpoint but give a rough idea what streach of area i am in using the loc(example if i was standing at -1023, 789 it would find the section say 10 to 100 gridlines around me and note on my map that i'm in that section). I can do the graphics for this with no problem, but i do not know the xml statements i would need to return this type of info. If anyone can help me with the statements i need for returning zone and numeric location, please feel free to post.
Also, if anyone has produced this idea, or if it is already in the LoY expsion please let me know so that i dont end up doing all the work for nothing.
