Macro to Macro
All I want is a way for a macro on the hotbar to fire another macro on the hotbar.
Is that too much to ask

No, but I think it's a low priority compared to say, moving buttons for instance
after all, unless you want a really really long complex macro you can always just code each one individually, it may take a while but it's possible

I think for VI that wish item is a big no-no. They will never allow firing hotbuttons from other hotbuttons, as this will introduce endless loop macros that they've been trying to avoid at all costs.

As much as I would like this, I have to agree with xguix. What I think would be a somewhat better solution is to allow stringing commands together on the same line of a macro.
IE: /stand;/doability X
I know you can do it with the /pause command but thats the only one.

NADA - NO GO - No Way, No How
yep, I'm with "deny it" crowd. While there are some legitatimate uses for this concept, the exploits are many more.
Ability 1 = Sense Heading
hotbutton 1 = /doabilty 1, /dohotbutton 2
hotubtton 2 = /dohotbutton 1
user clicks hotbutton 1 and goes to bed. Sense heading will now skill up while user sleeps.
Just too many ways to exploit it (plus theres no way to stop a hobutton macro once its started).

you know what I meant
why didn't you just say "smash the computer"? that will stop it or will it? Do macros keep processing serverside despite LD? BWHAHA
you know that I was referring to the fact that there is no programmatic way to stop it once started. Because I clearly stated that 2 posts ago. =P

Calm down...it was meant as some fun.
But being unable to stop a macro is the reason why I don't put pauses in them. And I haven't really found myself really needing them.
But zoning is a lot softer on your hardware then smashing it would be.
