Default hot buttons

I have the T.King's Celtic 1.8, and enjoy it much, but when I play my druid, I have to make hot buttons for some of the clickable gear, is there a way to change the 5 slots that show primary, secondary, right wrist, and bottom right two inventory slots?, I would like to change the wrist to range, and also the secondary slot to legs, is this possible to do?, and how would I do so?

Yes it is very possible.

Go to the FAQ on this site and read about EQTypes. There will be a list of what number you need to change in the hotbutton file to link to other pieces of equipment. This you can compare with the ones in the file, to make sure you are changing the right ones. Remember to make a backup of the file, so you always can go back, if it goes wrong.

Also if you want to change the background of the clickie to match what ever item you call for, then you need change the background link, I learned the different ones from looking in the Inventory file. They are called things like A_InvSecondary or A_InvChest.

Hope this helps a bit, if not let me know what UI you are using and I can try to mod the Hotbutton window for you

this is a how to on how to make your Target on a HOTKEY come up as a link.

1. open your EQ folder. EX. C:/program files/sony/everquest

2. open your "charname_servername.ini" file... EX. rustedone_innoruuk.ini

3. now you click on EDIT, and REPLACE, in the "find what" section you put "%t"... in the "replace with" you put.... "0026915-00001-00001-00001-00001-00001C7442069 %T"

4. now you click replace all... this will change ALL of your current hotkeys to be this way...

5. you have to zone, camp, or log in to make this work now.

there are a few other things you can do with this... for example.
to make my name show up as a link message i would....
0026915-00001-00001-00001-00001-00001C7442069 everquest
