Default Need help

I am using PSP8 for my editing of images.

One thing i cant figure out to do, is save tga files with partial transparency, ive seen a few ui that has it. but i cant do it myself.

I tried searching and searching, but i cant find anywhere that explains it in a step to step way for me.

So if any kinda soul could tell me it would be really appreciated.

I can do it with png files, but would rather do it with tga too, and be cool like the rest hehe.

Thank you in advance.

I'm still using PSP7, but here's how I make semi trans graphics.

Load up the .tga, then from the 'mask' menu, load from alpha.

Once you have your alpha channel loaded, 'mask' again and 'edit.'
At this point your color map should change from rgb to black/white. Select the area you want to be semi-trans and fill it with a shade of grey. Lighter tones are less transparant, darker is more transparent.

Once you have the transparency you want, 'mask' and 'save to alpha' (I always delete the old alpha channel in this step) Then get out of mask/edit mode, and save the .tga itself.

Heres what I posted when I first figured this out It also has a link to a psp tutorial thread that helped me out some...

Hope that helps!
