Talking My first spell book

I finally got Photoshop 7 (WOOHOO!) and here is a prelim of my first spell book, which I am making for my husband's enchanter. His favorite colors are deep red and blue, so this will eventually be a ruby and sapphire set, where the arrows and the close book change colors upon mouseover. Please let me know what you think. Be gentle, it's my first try at graphics in over a year.

Two things:
- there are 8 spells on each page, not 10.
- it looks more like a big rectangle than a book, the line down the center needs to go all the way from the top to the bottom

Default ALWAYS!

hehehe

ALWAYS save your original .psd file, even if it seems pointless...

I know from experience on this one.
