I was able to add the icons from SOD. I'm not sure if there was anything else that needed to be updated. I also put a lot of dummy labels in it so that it would load properly. I wasn't sure how you wanted to reduce the size - it seems pretty compact to me. Picture on the left is before and the right is after.
i had actually done an update for this as well, but the site wouldn't let me upload it.
I took the code for the voice chat indicator and group role indicators straight out of the default - no changes at all. this put the indicators in the top row, just to the right of the level. If you have a long name though, it might overlap - i don't know, my names are fairly short.
If yours doesn't give the red 'xml error' messages, then it's better than mine - mine still does. but thought you might like the info on the placement.
I took KK's advice and moved the icons to the top row. I looked at the default window that Sony uses, and the icons just overlay the name, so this will only affect the people with long names.
hehe - i resisted trying to fix mine for the longest time, because i KNEW i wouldn't be able to get it right. i was right - it still had the red message on load, but it worked.
the funny thing is, i made 2 different posts about someone fixing this, and got zero response. it's nice to know that someone did, though.
I remember seeing one where you couldn't upload a file, but I'm not sure how to help with that. I've uploaded a few of my windows without any problems. As for making fixes, I find it easier to upload to the forum threads, since I don't have to worry about having unique names.
ya know, that might have been the problem. i didn't realize that you had to have a different file name than everyone else. i figured they'd do something on the back end to differentiate - like tacking on your user name or some such.
goes to show what i know.
the main problem with uploading fixes to the forum is that it's harder to find again later, and someone who doesn't keep track of every thread might miss that something they wanted was fixed. *shrug*
