Question any patch/update/fix?

What ever EQ did in the last 10 days has made the july version of the old default not work correctly. Only get aug slots and focus effect info. No HP, AC or other stats show up. Is a remedy for that in the works? I really dont like their default UI and would much prefer the way the old default you do for looks. I am set in my ways and like everything to keep looking how I am used to.
Redownloading, rebooting computer didnt help and I wont even bother talking to SOE tech about it because they are idiots so I figured I would ask here and see if you have any tips.

Thanks

kiki33072,

The "default old" UI that I keep updated works just fine. If you use the default old, check to see who's default old it is. I know there were several people who were keeping it updated at one point. Also, there is a thread about the Default Old UI. Please try to be consistant with the threads

Maybe this will help you.

a) Verify you only have (1) Everquest folder for your game. Several people have problems installing UI's and other things if they have more than 1 installation of Everquest on their harddrive.
b) Go to Everquest\uifiles
c) Delete the Default_Old folder
d) Download the Default Old UI from the list of my interfaces
e) Save the Zip to Everquest\uifiles
f) Extract Files to there. It should make a folder already of default_old
g) Verify the extraction (EverQuest\uifiles\default_old). Be sure you do not see another folder there, it should be a dump of files.
h) Load EverQuest

is there a way you could build some of the graphics that involves taking a windows screenshot of the eula and server select screens and converting pieced together images to tga files to form the backbone of the ui?

i dont claim to know much but its an idea. I've been thinking about something on this order for a long time, and would love to see it come into being.

You could probably just modify the existing graphics. Pull them from the folder and use them as the base of your ui.

Those graphics are thick too. Although it would be possible, there are too many windows that would need some special bordering, which is why I decided to re-draw everything so I can manipulate the textures as needed. It isn't as easy as it seems, trust me

My comment was just to his inquiry as to the default UI graphics.

Sorry if that caused any confusion. I have no doubts that there are issues, as I said there are more important things atm.

do likes soes and make a control panel at the bottom of the screen, then you dont have to worry about borders so much except the top piece.

second thought i see your logic, too many other windows - but would be cooler and more functional none the less imo.
