DeltaX Tradeskill Database Installation

***DeltaX (1280x1024) Installation Change (6-24-09)***
1. Delete/Rename Any Version of DeltaX under v3.009
2. Unzip as normal after deleting the old one.
3. Copy UI_DeltaX_Default.ini to your \\Everquest Directory
4. Enter Game:
5. Options window (Alt-O) is default
6. Press Copy Layout Button
7. Choose UI_DeltaX_Default.ini
8. Wait a moment or 2
9. Congratz Pain Free Setup of the UI.
(pure casters may need to lower the spell bar on top of the Target Window)

v1.021 Minor grapic update
Group Window
+Player, Target Colors Match rest of group window...
(this prevents targeting someones corpse that has been rezed so show they are in zone at 0%)
-Spell Casting Bar that showed in Target Window has been removed...
(coming soon Blinking Group Menbers and Your HP when below 40%)

Target Window
+Spell Cating Bar now shows below Targets Buff Window

Pet Window
+Pet Color Now Matches Group Members Pet HP bar (same shade of green stands out a bit more and matches rest of UI)

Are you refering to the gauge or an actual numeric timer?

Gauge: On the right it moves in every zone I have been in excluding guild hall and lobby (where timers dont count down)

Numeric Timer: not aware if there is a <EQType> for that but will check.

You may want to delete the "EQUI_ClaimWnd.xml" from your ui default directory, and re-download.
DeltaX (1280x1024) has no modificatons to the Claim window.

One minor request, or maybe I'm missing something. When I do a Monster Mission, I can't see my mana without hitting I, since there's no spellcasting bar in use (it's all AA-style spells).


Any way to make the mana amount visible somewhere else? Do it so that if mana=0 it's invisible or something, that way it won't clutter up a melee's screen.

Thats sounds like a good idea, however I dont normaly do MM's, what would you suggest?
-Guage?
-100%?
-Actual Number?

Currently im about 60% done on a total overhall on this ui, from the ground up, so now is the best time to add that in.
Grapic Memory used should drop to aprox 20% of current usage.

Oh during MM's are their any other windows that are disabled besides the spell casting one?

i would say gauge/percent for the mana. the monster missions don't tell you how much mana a given thing costs, so all you really have to go on is how much of your bar it uses.
it wouldn't hurt to have numbers - but i don't think it's necessary.

in other things though - could we possibly get the mana/end display for group members to be just a bit bigger? it's practically impossible to see on my boyfriend's screen. it looks like (though i haven't actually looked at the code) that they are currently about 1 pixel tall - if they could be 2 or 3, that would probably be perfect. if they're actually currently 2 (which could be, i don't know), then i would suggest 4 or 5. Also, I'm not sure why the HP gauges are purple/maroon - is there a reason for that?

kudilukudzu you are correct on the size of the Mana End Bars, they are in fact only 1 pxl tall, can double them easily.

I personaly keep (from ingame) the endurance bars shut off (right clicky on group window) never really cared about someones endurance...


As for the colors...
When SOE changed up the staying grouped on LD/camp and able to click on them, during raids it could look as if some one was Full Health ready to go when infact they were LD or out of zone only the % of 0 vs 100 would show the diffrence...
This was a temp fix for what is taking place behind the purple bars....
(i can put in a 2nd version of the group xml that has red bars np)

v2.0 will have animated guages that will start a heart beat the lower the hp's go of group memebers, stands out very well from the purple bars currently.

If anyone has a better idea where to put the end bar vs it cramed above the mana bar/player name open to suggestions on that one too

the current version was basicly a repair of this UI to get it stable for SoD..

ok. i think that having them at the top is just fine, just a little thicker so you can actually see them. there's plenty of room there. i was actually going to go in and hack that out myself for my BF in a bit. I would make sure that the end is on top, with mana below it - because everyone has end, but not everyone has mana.

as for the color, i have never seen that issue. i can tell very easily on my group window if someone is in zone or not, and it just looks like they're not in zone if they're camped out (except that the name is grey instead of white). so i guess i've never had that problem.

I can tell you that having animated stuff would annoy the crap out of me, so i hope you have a static option available. i think it would annoy the BF too, but not sure.

I belive 2.000 now has all requests covered, if something else comes up just ask.

I will also be including a Thin gauge version of the group window too, due to on my monitors the bars are HUGE now at just 2 pxl's

Exclamation Resizing

Is there a easy way to resize the ui for a 1440x900 resolution, i have a large monitor and you default takes up a lot of room, otherwise this is a very nice ui. one other note is that the buff icons seem to be off center after the first one.
And the potion belt is not able to click the potions.

Default Colored Buff Tabs

One of the things which drew me to this UI several yrs ago was the color coded buff tabs (blue =bene, red = detri). One of the patches a while back removed this functionality from an older version I had and it seems this newer one also does not retain colored buff tabs. I think it has something to do with the animations file as the tab colors are back when using the default animations file.

I'd love if you do a small mod to bring this feature back.

In either case, thanks very much for picking up this UI.
