  • Keep an eye out for a special gift for All-Access members coming soon!
  • Marcia Attamilgad has located a few new items for her stash. We're not asking questions.
  • The /melody command will no longer be interrupted when singing a song that fails due to targeting or other failures. See the Miscellaneous section below for details.
  • Potion packs have returned to the Marketplace. If you consumed a potion pack that did not give you a potion, you should now have those packs restored to you in the Item Overflow Window.
  • Fixed a problem that caused the group window to show incorrect information to players whose group status changed while zoning.[

  • Charm items with right click effects can now be activated from your inventory.
  • Look to the Marketplace this month for the Northman Heritage Crate. Each crate contains a random item. Trade these Northman Heritage items to your friends or collect them all yourself!

  • Corrected an issue where AA hotbuttons were not properly saving their labels.
  • Fixed a typo when trying to grant alternate advancement abilities over the advancement point limit.
  • Improved the resolution for spell icons when used for hotbuttons.
  • Fixed an issue in the Bazaar where various Dragons of Norrath spells would try to sell for crystals instead of platinum.
  • Holding an item on your cursor and left clicking a hotbutton that is red or linked to that item will autoinventory the item.
  • Old hotbuttons linked to items will now look up their name.
  • Corrected an issue where hotbuttons pointing to an item with 0 charges would stop working.
  • Corrected an issue where characters with similar names would not appear in the loot list on the Advanced Loot Window.
  • The guild window will correctly keep your selection when other members zone or camp.
  • When creating a character or race changing, expansion restricted cities and race-class combinations will now display as unavailable.

  • The Hero's Journey help text is now directly accessible via a UI button. See the UI section below for details.
  • Fixed a bug with the last update where the timestamp format in log files was inadvertently changed.
  • Added a volume slider to the audio triggers window which acts independently of the game volume slider.
  • Race changing now only removes spells for which you don't meet the deity requirements.

  • The new menu entry can be found in the EQ Button list under Quests on servers that have unlocked The Serpent's Spine expansion.
  • The alternate advancement ability Summon Tome of the Hero's Journey has been removed. Any existing copies of the tome can still be used to display the list of suggested quests.
  • Fixed a bug where the Zone Guide would report that there is no active path each time you zone.
  • Using /outputfile will now display a link to the file created.
  • Fixed an issue where /outputfile recipes wasn't accepting an additional parameter to specify an alternate filename.
  • Fixed a bug with the last update where the timestamp format in log files was inadvertently changed.
  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause alerts you have already seen to be displayed again.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the event calendar scroll bar to bounce to the top when scrolling.
  • The /feedback command will now generate a link to our forums instead of opening the feedback window.
  • Added a volume slider to the audio triggers window which acts independently of the game volume slider.
  • Players can now see the level of their target upon considering them, unless their target is anonymous or roleplaying.
  • When you zone, hotbuttons linked to an item will no longer reset to the first copy of the item found in your inventory.
  • Hotbuttons with a blank label will now properly save when zoning or camping.
  • When turning hotbar pages, item links will no longer bleed their color and icon to the other page.
  • The Manage Loot Window no longer closes when a member of your group or raid zones or leaves.

  • EverQuest will no longer run on Windows Vista or older operating systems. Please refer to the minimum system requirements on our website.
  • Made a number of improvements to hotbars. See the UI section below for details.
  • Fixed a display bug with the pet window when right clicking pet-buff icons.
  • Updated /useitem to accept item names:
  • Specifying the full name of an item will now allow you to activate it directly without having to ensure the item is in a specific inventory slot.
  • This functionality now allows items in your key rings to be activated with the /useitem command.
  • Example: /useitem corrupted hammer of consternation
  • Reduced the size of borders on a number of UI windows.
  • Adventure point merchants will no longer display platinum prices.
  • Changed the messaging at character creation when choosing a race/class/starting city that has not been unlocked on a server.
  • When race changing, expansion-restricted cities and races will now be unavailable.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented find destinations from being displayed on your map when mysterious forces prevented the route to that target from being drawn.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the border toggle setting from being saved.
  • The /copylayout command will now look for any valid ini files in the uifiles folder in addition to the ini files in the main install folder.
  • Selling an item with an augment in it to an Adventure Merchant should no longer cause your game to stop responding.
  • Made the following improvements to item hotkeys:
  • Item hotkeys will now display the total count of items in your inventory, rather than the count of the first stack.
  • Items will now display the total number of charges for items that use them.
  • Item hotkeys for items that are no longer in your inventory will now display the icon/name of the missing item rather than 'Not Found'.
  • Pre-existing item hotkeys will need to be remade to get these updates.

  • Stored AA points greater than 3 times your level will now be removed after logging out. The earned-limit remains 2 times your level. See the AA section below for details.
  • Fixed a crash related to the Find Item Window and custom UIs.
  • Added a new message to the server select screen that indicates when the server is too busy to process your login request.
  • Fixed a crash related to the /pick window and custom UIs.
  • Updated the spell information window so that it shows more consistent information when you inspect buffs or debuffs.
  • Added the ability for spell descriptions to display links to other spells.
  • Clicking on a spell icon from the spell description will generate a new link in your chat window. Press enter to share the spell in a clickable link.
  • You can also right-click on any of your buffs and choose the option 'Link spell to chat' to generate a spell link.
  • Corrected an issue where the advanced loot window sometimes wouldn't list group members in the Give to: and Set all to: fields.
  • Corrected an issue where loot filters in the loot filters window could have duplicate item entries.

Default  September 2017 Producer's Letter: It's Expansion Season

Greetings Norrathians,

It’s that time of year and it’ll come as no surprise that we’re ready to talk expansion! Even in the midst of launching Agnarr, managing our existing progression and live server updates, working on new features such as the in-game event calendar, making overall improvements to the UI, and improvements to game stability and performance, the team has also been furiously working away on this year’s expansion!

We’re still heads down in development, but we are excited to announce our 24th expansion, EverQuest: Ring of Scale! We return to Kunark to finish what started in last year’s EverQuest: Empires of Kunark as the Combine faces their final challenge. You’ll revisit some familiar places and then explore new areas like Gorowyn. You’ll face new monsters, acquire new gear, spells, and AAs, and more!

If you’re hankering for more details, then be on the lookout for more announcements in October! We’ll be sharing expansion details, and in mid-October you’ll be able to pre-order and come play with us in beta. EverQuest: Ring of Scale is going to be one exciting adventure and this expansion is currently scheduled for launch this December.

Let’s not forget about our progression servers! Agnarr will unlock The Scars of Velious on November 8th! Later this year in December, Phinigel will unlock Dragons of Norrath and Ragefire and Lockjaw will vote to unlock Gates of Discord too.

While we’re all excitedly waiting for EverQuest: Ring of Scale, there are a host of promotions for us to enjoy while we count down the days!
  • Starting today, EverQuest: Empires of Kunark will be on sale at 50% off through October 15, 2017 at 11:59PM PDT! Don’t forget that the option to purchase the Collector’s or Premium Edition of EverQuest: Empires of Kunark won’t be available after pre-orders for EverQuest: Ring of Scale begin in October!
  • All Access Members who log in to EverQuest between TODAY and October 15, 2017 at 11:59PM PDT will be rewarded with the Skull of the Slain Sarnak illusion! This boney get-up would make a great costume for Nights of the Dead.
  • Fall in-game bonuses are returning on November 1st and will bring you bi-weekly bonuses including increased bonus experience, rare spawns, faction bonuses, and shorter lockout timers!
There is so much coming up and the team can’t wait to share what they’ve been working on, so be sure to keep checking back for even more expansion news and announcements! It continues to be an amazing journey for EverQuest and it’s all thanks to you, our players!
