This map was designed to be used almost like a background image, so you can look at the map without it obstructing your view, for the most part. To achieve the look in the screenshot, do the following in-game:
- Right click the map window, go to Background and click Texture (to turn the map scroll texture off if you havent already).
- Right click the map window, go to Alpha and click faded level. Enter 0.
- Right click the map window again, go to Alpha and click normal level. If you input 0 the map will always be clear. If you input another number you can have the map darken when you roll your mouse over it so you can read it at night or in darker places. I use 60.
- If you put in a number higher than 0 in the previous step, right click the map window, go to Background and click Tint Color. Mess with the colors a bit until you have one that allows you to read the map in both bright and dark zones. I personally use an RGB of 69, 73, 69.
There is about a 10 pixel buffer on each side of the window that you can use to drag the entire window around. Clicking further in than that will manipulate the map instead.
Buttons are listed across the top in this order:
Heigh filter on/off (H), height filter low, height filter high, center view (*), Labels on/off (L), Show Base layer (B), show layer 1 (1), show layer 2 (2), show layer 3 (3), Toolbar button (T).

Bigger an option?
Great idea and works great with my UI, but would it be possible to make a standard size version instead of just the small?
Thanks and again, great job!

Great look, but...
With the transparency and tint settings tweaked as per your suggestion, it looks great and works well. But I really need some zoom buttons! I know the mouse wheel works for most, but I don't have one!
Oh well.
