July/05/2007 EQ UI Update
Has anyone played with this on the test servers? Do we know how it is going to affect this most godlike UI (quartz)? And are there people (hopefully those of you who are xml savvy, unlike me) willing to work on the appropriate changes? Not a begging, just a post-it for whats to come.

Patch gone live. So far with Quartz UI, right clicking on an Item to inspect items stats causes crash to desktop! Has done this on 2 seperate computers using quartz UI.

As I posted in the "resleased" thread, you can get around that crash by copying the EQUI_ItemDisplay.xml file from the default folder.
The only problem with this is there's no border so to exit the item display you'll have to ESC out.
Hopefully someone will fix soon.

How did you get the border? Was there another file you copied?

Sere, this UI not working is what held me up before raid tonight, you're supposed to share the love!
Okay, I'll look into it myself.

I had Quartz 2.0 already installed prior to patch, and all I did was download the patch Brighid just made, which you can find right at the top of the thread in basically the same place as the main download for the UI. Worked a treat I installed in while running to a raid lol.
Might have to change Brighid's spellbook though, the skulls aren't the best for a bard

Hmmm, that's what was in the downloads, I didn't use any of my own files, only what was posted by DarkSir and the updates that other users posted on the Quartz thread.

Ah well not sure where it came from, I could fit my XML knowledge on the back of a postage stamp. Doesn't matter, I found another one so all good

Arrgh. SOE have broken this again. Why can't they leave this stuff alone, their own UI sucks.

This seems to work fine as far as I can tell at least I have not found any problems with it yet. This fix was posted a little bit ago here http://www.eqinterface.com/download...nfo.php?id=5836.
I was able to get it to run without errors by simply deleting the following files:
EQUI_BuffWindow.xml
EQUI_PetIntoWindow.xml
EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow.xml

The last I ran was 2.9 with WC3 spell icon mod. Worked fine till last November when I quit the game. Looking to get back into the game, however I'm useless without my ui as sony's ui just plain sucks.
Can post pics of how mine looked.. but as far as modifying the xml I've only marginally been able to in previous patches. Not sure I possess the skill to modify it correctly this time around.
