After that patch where evryone couldnt get there old uis to work this one wouldnt ether now i have to use default but on a better note this one is awesome just takes a bit of getting used to

I was able to get the Nemesis2.x UI to work by following the below post.

Post titled "How to use your old UI step by step" posted by Rosstopher on 10/27/2005. Below is a copy of his/her instructions.

1. Make a copy of the \uifiles\default_old folder (copy it then paste it in the uifiles directory)
2. Rename it to whatever you want.
3. Copy all of the files from your usual ui folder.
4. Oaste them into the folder you made in step 2
5. issue the command: load <name_of_the_ui_folder> 1 inside eq


Now here on my modified instructions.

1. Go to your Everquest/uifiles folder.
2. Copy and paste the Default_old Folder to your desktop.
3. rename the Default_old folder in your Everquest\uifiles folder to something simple (i renamed mine to Zultann. It didn't work when I used Zultann_old).
4. Now open your Everquest\uifiles\nemesis2.0 folder. select all files and copy them to the renamed default_old folder (Zultann in my case). Say yes to overwrite all files.
5. Step 5 added after patch dated 11/16/2005. Open your everquest\uifiles\defaut folder find and copy equi_GuildManagementWnd XML file to your new renamed default_old folder (Zultann in my case).
6. Go to Desktop and cut and paste Default_old back to your everquest\uifiles folder (this prevents everquest form patching default_old).
7. Start everquest. once in game do a /load new folder name 1 command. in my case I did a /load zultann 1 command. everything works no problems.

Hope these steps I got from Rosstopher' post titled "How to use your old UI step by step" works for you as they did for me. Like I said for somereason I can't explain it didn't work when I used a new folder name of Zultann_old but did work when I used used new file name of Zultann. It shouldn't make a differents. Who knows I may have copied something wrong the first time.

P.S. I am so glad I was able to get this to work as this is my favorite UI and as good as the new default ui is, it doesn't come close to this one.

Really sorry for not being around. Been moving and swamped with school lately. On top of that my Windows box is down and my Linux box doesn't like EQ too much. Trying out the new version of Wine now. I haven't been on in a few months now so I have no idea what changes lurk in the UI. I'll see if I can get things running and start working on an update.

I know there have been many updates to the default interface so I'm assuming the needs of players may have changed since I last logged on. Email me at [email protected] if you have any suggestions for the UI.

I have updated Nemesis for TSS. Please look here for the updated version.

As it stands, the old Nemesis 2.0 UI that can be downloaded here will break on load. The update is fully compliant with all TSS UI changes, including the combat timer and corruption stat additions.
