Buff window
|
|
Short duration buff window
|
|
This is an updated version of Geddine's buff window and short duration buff window which I have used for a long time. It displays buff slot numbers and buff descriptions, and it's also easy to tell if it's a beneficial or detrimental spell effect. This version is smaller than the original Geddine buff window. It supports up to the full 30 buff and 20 short duration slots.
*Update on 10/12/2010* - Updated XML files to be compatible with latest House of Thule Expansion.
*Update on 12/8/2010* - Updated animations file for new drag item graphic in today's patch.
*Update on 2/3/2011* - Big update:
-Updated animations file to work with latest patch.
-Graphics file is now a .dds file which has better quality in EQ than .tga.
-Buff color graphic no longer has the curved edge on the right side.
-Buff color graphic now has a gradient transparency, with the far left being opaque (255) and the far right having a value of 100.
-Windows can now be re-sized if you so desire. I didn't make this default because of a few reasons but if you would like to try it, go into the buffwindow and shortdurationbuffwindow xml files and one of the last lines is '<Style_Sizable>false</Style_Sizable>'. Change those to true. You can now re-size the windows either horizontally or vertically.
*Update 11/13/2011* - Updated for Veil of Alaris expansion. Now has 42 buff slots so it is quite a bit larger than before.

This is a cool looking mod but everytime I try to use it, my UI crashes. Any ideas?

I guess I'll have to do it again, unless you would release a "mini" version.
Anyway, thanks for the December 9, 2008 fix.

Ya - I love this set up but it even small is too big for my window. I use font size 1 for everything and the color bars accordingly. Unless our fine coder would like to make one even smaller than this I guess I will try to do it after my taxes are filed....
Thanks Darkmatil for getting the back of it broken :-)
(No I have no idea why my sig won't post with all the letters showing)

I went to try and edit my folder in this fashion..........when I click on the xml files it opens a webpage.........I dont comprehend it in the least......but it opens a window on my enternet browser......the label is the directions to my UI folder.........but I cant edit anything..........so confused......
!!!! Finally figured it out, will leave here incase someone else is as compter inept as me......
Right Click the file, go to properties change what you open it with from XML Editor to Notepad.......lol awsome fix Like the windows much better now.

I am so happy you continue to update this UI. I would seriously poke out my eyes if this stopped working.

Can this be resized on the fly? I'm able to move it, but not change the dimensions - which causes problems with placement and overlap.
Thanks!

Hmm. When I load the EQ-Animations file, it buggers up my UI - makes some things disappear. Makes a few vertical lines running thru the middle of the screen.
