Patch |
** Updated -- Fixed attack indicator and added icons for Voice Chat and Group Roles. The Role icons are stacked to save space. (picture shows all 3 on) **
Simple player window for hybrids. Pretty compact and small.
First name only ... enough space for about 10-12 letters, I think.
HP/max HP numbers (pink)
Endurance/max Endurance numbers (yellow)
Mana/max Mana numbers (blue)
Gauges w/ percentages for HP, End, Mana, XP, AAXP (in that order)
AC and ATK at bottom with Tribute Timer in center
Combat rest icon and timer only ... gauge is redundant and wastes space.
Enjoy,
- Qedd

You have a conflict with another of your UI files, then. Check your UIErrors file.
All 3 of these Player Window mods are default compatible. I check them to make sure.
I make them that way, so they are easier for people to modify, if they like, to fit their needs.
For that reason, they are not necessarily universal. Many of the mods and complete UI's you can get here will be incompatible because of the way they are designed, but you may be able to incorporate it with some tweaking. It's not a failing of either this mod or the UI you may be using .. they just may not work together straight away .. and occasionally, not at all..
Hope that helps,

I know this is over a month later but I had a problem loading anything in my default folder, so what i did was made a new folder and copied everything from my default ui into it, Then I proceeded to enter the pieces I liked and replaced them in my new folder.
It worked fine when I did that, I think the eq patcher was over riding it when I tried to load it in the default file for some reason, so make a new folder (I just named it the toon I wanted to use) copy and paste everything from your default ui then custumize it as you see fit.
Oh the window was just what I was looking for, great job
peace

Yes, that's how it's always been.
You can't change files in the Default folder. They'll just get repatched.
Can use a full copy of the default folder to mess around with or you can just put single mods that are default-compatible in a separate folder and load that as your "Custom UI" in game.
The game will use the files you have in there and then make up the rest of the UI with the Default files.
I use a modified copy since I make changes to my UI quite often, but either way works fine.
You can do quite a bit working with a separate folder just for your custom files, but I prefer to have a full copy to work with so everything is there in one place. I find it easier to make small changes to tailor it to a certain character, class, race, etc. that way.

You cannot change the files inside the Default folder. The game will just repatch anything you change the next time you run the patcher.
EQ Interface's official word (see their FAQ) is to never change or use a copy of the Default folder. Always use a separate folder for your mod files and let the game load default files around what you've got in there.
That's what they say, so that's what I'll tell you as well.
It does make it easier to track down most errors, I will agree. Especially if you are new to the whole XML deal.

End/Mana
Love this UI. Many thanks. Nearly perfect for me...except that I guess I am still mentally stuck on having Hp-then-Mana-then End. Wish those could be flip-flopped but that may just be me.
Great job and thank you!

Player Windows
Wymp,
Any chance these windows are going to be modified for yesterdays patch? I've been running these for years and would just as soon not go hunting for a new one.

I'll try to fix the attack indicator this weekend when I get home. I keep forgetting since I play a necro and haven't swung a weapon in around 70 levels, lol.
I may or may not add any new group role crap, though.
Depends on how it would change the window setup, and most of it works anyway by default, if I remember correctly.

I like this pw but when I installed it I started getting the red text in game telling me one of my files were incompatible. Everything seems to work fine just getting the message

Yeah, I know. It's just a difference in the way I named things in the window, really.
Minor annoyance. It won't hurt a thing.
I may revisit all 3 of my player windows and fix the error messages eventually just for cleanliness, but it's not high on my to-do-list since they work fine as-is.
