Re: Re: Update
ok I found out where the problem is with the mismatch xml file batch error we are getting, it has to do with the PotionBeltWnd.xml file. they changed lines 116-143, the old one was changed and lines 116-143, 228-248, 258, 274, 279 were removed from the new patch and moved. hope that helps. anyhow what i did to temporarily fix the problem was to delete the PotionBeltWnd.xml from the UI untill it can get updated, all it does it default back to the default potion window which is a bit bigger. anyhow if you want to look at the update to it I'll link it. other than those changes thats about all that I can see that was changed that is causing the problem. everything else is working perfect.
potion belt compare
anyhow here it is the comparison from old to new since patch on 7-05-07
if I knew what to change on what lines I'd try to fix it myself but not really sure where to start.

I have been using yours for quite a while now, and recently decided to test out a few new ones and realized none of them quite stand up to the test. I would greatly GREATLY appreciate you if you did an update =-)

Oops, I forgot the one other thing that breaks UIs time and time again (this isn't for you Zhaann, just trying to keep the "it doesn't work" posts down in general ) - UI folder names must not have spaces in. EQ doesn't recognise them.
So a folder "NewWorld" is loaded as UI "NewWorld".
But a folder "New World" is seen internally by EQ as just "New" (in spite of showing as "New World" in the in-game skins list) so it doesn't load the correct folder.

It sounds like either you put this in a custom UI folder you already had in place, or it somehow wound up in a folder-inside-a-folder.
If so there may be other files in it already, and you don't want that.
I recommend you delete your custom UI folder ("New"?) completely, then unzip these files directly into [your path] EverQuest\UIFiles\New.
Remember, they shouldn't be in a folder below the "New" level, EQ only reads the files in the folder at the level directly below "UIFiles".
These files work with the current default UI, they will NOT work with other custom UIs that have not been updated for The Buried Sea, or necessarily with UIs that have a modified, for example, EQUI.xml.
If you ARE trying to mix and match custom UIs, and your other custom UI has a modified EQUI.xml, then check the order in which windows are added in the EQUI.xml. The default defines EQUI_BuffWindow.xml before EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow.xml, and my UI depends on that sequence being maintained in order to correctly define the background image for both bars.
Hope that helps, as I have said before, these mods are small mods to the default UI and change the absolute minimum I can get away with (I'd take away all the frilly edges in the other windows if I didn't mind needing a large custom file to maintain every time they changed the core graphics or EQUI files). The cleaner your install (and UI folder) the better, in my experience.
