Description
Tired of not knowing what each icon means? Then this mod is for you. It doesn't matter if you have started on your Alternate Abilities or your Dragons of Norrath progression. You can pick the size that fits your needs exactly. Can't make up your mind? The new, improved adjustable variant allows you to modify your max number of buffs on the fly as well as how wide the spell text is.

Features
• Version numbers now match expansion release.
• Only one adjustable size needed.
• Supports up to 42 buffs and 30 short duration buffs.
• Placeholders are numeric for primary buffs and alpha for short duration buffs.
• Option for having no placeholder is also available.
• Consolidated all file variants into one file download.
• Requires stretching into place (or using menu options) for placement.
• Individual files need to be renamed accordingly before use.

Shared Instructions
This is of great use if you have different UIs for each of your characters, but want to utilize some shared components among all of them. It will allow you to have a centralized location for the shared components, while allowing each character to have separate components of different types. Just follow the directions below for details on how to set this up.
• Make a folder entitled shared under the uifiles folder of EverQuest.
• Place all variants of EQUI_BuffWindow.xml in shared.
• Place EQUI_BuffWindow_Shared.xml into individual UI folder that will be accessing shared.
• Rename EQUI_BuffWindow_Shared.xml to EQUI_BuffWindow.xml.
• Future updates only need to replace the file in shared.

WARNING: You should never copy Default into a custom UI directory. EverQuest will automatically pull from default any missing files. This will prevent crashes if a required default file changes.

File Inventory
EQUI_BuffWindow_AdjustableLabels.xml
EQUI_BuffWindow_AdjustableNoLabels.xml
EQUI_BuffWindow_Shared.xml
EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow_AdjustableLabels.xml
EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow_AdjustableNoLabels.xm l
EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow_Shared.xml

Rename files to EQUI_BuffWindow.xml and EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow.xml accordingly.

When it says Turlo, you know it's quality!

no label buff window

I like this window, it's getting difficult to find a vertical buff window with a minimalist look. Only thing I'd like to see is the no label version get rid of the blank space where the labels are no longer showing. I think that would make it a little slimmer. Maybe even put the duration remaining in place of the labels on the left side? I don't care when I resize the window if the buff names get cut off, but I don't want to lose the duration time visibility.

Adjustable Version Available

My adjustable version is available as a seperate download (since it removes the need to have so many different variants). It can be found here:

windows so that:

1. the spell name has a clear background instead of the blue solid background and the font from black to yellow

2. change the numbers in the numbered slots from teal back to white

here is a link to your original file:
http://www.eqinterface.com/download...nfo.php?id=3990

Much appreciated and your Interfaces Rock !!

Ron

Ron,

1) To change the blue background on lables, it is hard coded. The file to do this is Window_Pieces06 as of TSS..( it used to be CSButtons ) The only way is to make Blue -> transparrent. - OR - change your animations. Which will cause you more grief in the long run, poss. break your UI.

I have a fix for Default and Haliken's Old_Default here:
http://www.eqinterface.com/list.php?skinnerid=276637
under SmileyFAAce_Buff_Blue_Lable_Fix. ( if it ever finishes uploading :P)

If you do not have a Window_Piece06 in your UI, Use my Window_Piece06_Default and rename it to "Window_Piece06" copy, paste into your UI and /loadskin. Thats it!
*You will have an issue if you try to do this in your UI folder and already have a Window_Pieces06, It will not want to rename.Make the re-name change first, then copy and paste over the previous one in your UI..Good idea to copy and paste the old for a back up so you don't yell at me ( because you made a typo ) lol!

Tested this download today with fix.. installed into Default.. It works.

2) To change the Number 1 etc. from Teal to White, modify this area of your file. Right click.. .open with Word. find :

<Label item="SDBW_Buff0_Place">
<ScreenID>SDBW_Buff0Place</ScreenID>
<Font>2</Font>
<RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
<Location>
<X>180</X>
<Y>1</Y>
</Location>
<Size>
<CX>12</CX>
<CY>12</CY>
</Size>
<Text>1</Text>
<TextColor>
<R>0</R>
<G>127</G>
<B>127</B>
</TextColor>
<NoWrap>true</NoWrap>
<AlignCenter>false</AlignCenter>
<AlignRight>true</AlignRight>
</Label>

Where and only where, you see ( notice it says TEXT COLOR )
<TextColor>
<R>0</R>
<G>127</G>
<B>127</B>
</TextColor>

Change: 0 , 127, 127 ( which is Teal )to 255, 255, 255, (White )JUST like when you hit Dye in Inventory window to change your armor to white.. it's 255 255 255.

Do this on each number of slot in the code by finding the next

<Label item="SDBW_Buff1_Place">

Notice the number changed from 0 to 1.. next will be 2.. all the way up to what ever number that window stops.. 15 short duration buff.. it will end in 14 because it started at 0.
25, will end up at 24.

Change to any color you wish, by finding the right numbers from the dye in the game from Inventory.

< be cautious what you change.. look carefully.. this can get mesmorizing;P >

For the non xml savvy, how do we do this? I know where to find my files and edit them, but not sure what to look for and change.

v5.01.00 Released

I am rather excited about this update. First, it covers all the bases with only one file. I like that. Second, it is just cool that it works. Well, let me know what you think. Tons more still underway.

Oh, and thanks to Parsburg for helping me verify the short duration buff window works.
