I got rid of the Memorize guage, but the scribe guage is still there (shows up on the bottom roll). I made it "hidden" but still functions so you can see that you have 20 minutes left scribing the spell :-)
The left and right page buttons (PgUp and PgDown) run the full height of the scroll, so you don't have to click on just the hands. The done button is also hidden, but lies in the middle of the bottom roll and remains functional.
