My skin still will not load
Hi, I added the indicated parts (the sections for A_CheckBoxNormal and A_CheckBoxPressed) to my EQUI_Animations.xml file in my folder for the skins I am using, and it did not fix the problem. My skin still will not load. It's a custom skin that my roomate put together from various parts and pieces that I liked. Does anyone have any advice of anything that I might still need to change? I really miss my skin :(

post whatever text appears in your UIErrors.txt file that are not related to a file not found so default loaded, example:
Quote:
...those types are not relevant, only the error messages towards the bottom of the file that reference the specific error. |
I have something to check for Jarvis and his error showing in the UIError.log... From what he posted all the UI Checks are looking at:
%EQDir%\Uifiles\\ I have to wonder if his UI_CharName_XX.ini file has the double box in place of the UI name. Having that will cause the UI to default back because it doesn't know what UI folder to look at. Just something to check. |
Hmm thats all they say
All of the errors in that txt file are like the example you posted. File not found so attempting to load default. No other errors :/
Any suggestions? -Meg [email protected] |
THANK YOU FEZZIG!! :)
I did not get any error message in my ui error messages file, so I couldn't figure out what was wrong. After your post I checked the file you stated, and sure enough, for skin, it had several square boxes instead of a skin name. I plugged in the skin name and sure enough it worked!
Thanks so much! *big hugs* =) -Meg [email protected] |

It LOOKS like your EQUI_Animations.xml file in your custom UI folder is missing the changes that went in 10/16. If you want to edit it yourself, check here.
If not, and you downloaded someone else's UI/mod, check the Downloads section and see if they've added an updated version. |
yes.. meaning you unzip the files included in the zip I posted into your current vert UI directory. make sure you click yes when winzip asks if you wish to overwrite the existing files.
