Do MOD's = Performance loss?

As I look at these MOD's I notice some of them are quite complcated. Does using MOD's slow perfomance down in anyway?

Thanks

Some can decrease performance, but it is not that noticable. If you look at the default UI, it is not small itself, so EQ has to run through the xlm code for each window every time you log on or zone. This is about the only time the UI will affect performance unless you have a VERY large window such as the location wizards or the like open.

And to take that one step further, some mods can actually increase your system's performance. The /viewport command means that less of the screen is "drawn", so less resources are used. Using my ui skin as an example, some folks have been able to go up a step on their video resolution (ie someone that previously ran at 800x600 can now run at 1024x768) because the viewport significantly reduces the amount of space that needs to be drawn.
