Quick question

First off just wanted to say that this is obviously my first post here and i just wanted to thank everyone for all the hard work you all have put into this site and the UIs out there.

Ok, well with that out of the way on to my questions :)

First off, i am new to doing anything with UIs. I also have NO experience with XML. But after looking at it, it doesn't look to difficult. But my question is where can i find a basic guide to getting started with creating your own UI?

Another thing is this possible to do without having EQ available. I want to work on mine while i'm sitting at work doing nothin, but i can't install EQ on my work computer. So i was wondering if there is something i can do to check to see how the UI is looking without me logging into EQ.

Any help, ideas, suggestions are greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks in advance!!

You'll still need the EQ UI files, but both SidlWidl and Sidl Fiddle let you see how the elements look without logging in.

I'm not sure that there is any one thread in particular that is a good beginning guide, but there is so much information available here in the Developer Discussions area of the board. Make ample use of the search function, and ask lots of questions, folks around here are great at helping one another out.

Aye, just got the SidlWidl program, and it seems to be doing what i was looking for. Now if i can just figure out XML a little i'll be Golden :D

**edit: should have a sticky where Newbies can ask dumb n00b questions :) **
